by Isabelle

Energy Start Most Efficient Appliances

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) announces their new program, “ENERGY STAR Most Efficient” that identifies highly efficient products in the marketplace. This effort identifies the most efficient products within particular product categories that qualify as ENERGY STAR.This program started by selecting the product categories and establishing the recognition criteria to ensure that the products that do indeed receive this recognition demonstrate efficiency performance that is truly exceptional and leading edge.

This is good news for those environmentally motivated consumers and early adopters of the ENERGY STAR designation.

So what does all this mean? NRCan states the “ENERGY STAR Most Efficient” designation recognizes ENERGY STAR certified products in select categories. If you purchase a product that has earned the “ENERGY STAR Most Efficient” designation, you can be sure that you’re getting a product that has demonstrated superior energy efficiency performance. These products will save you even more energy than regular ENERGY STAR certified models. Save energy, not only saves you money but it also reduces your carbon footprint.

Only certain ENERGY STAR certified products may earn the Most Efficient designation each year, based on the new guidelines set forth, click here to review the new 2017 guidelines.
